I used a more sour one, which is usually good for baking, but in this case a softer one might be better so it cooks and blends more easily with the berries. @ Andy Yes.. plum jam would be about the same, though, the recipe I have calls for 1/3 c of lemon juice, which also acts as a good natural pectin. (you could do a recipe with apples or lemon juice). I&#039;m going to try a mix! :)]]></description>
